Lawn Seeding
To have the yard of your dreams, you must seed your lawn. Our lawn seeding services will help you get the lush, beautiful lawn you've always wanted. Your yard's environment and weather patterns aren't the only factors we take into consideration when recommending a type of grass. We know the best types of grass for your location because we live and work in the area. If you have high-maintenance grass that doesn't suit your active lifestyle and continually develops bald patches, it will be more cost-effective to renovate your lawn with new seeds rather than fill the bald spots. Consult with our experts to determine which option makes the most sense.

What months matter most for a North Idaho lawn?
Fall. University of Idaho Extension recommends fall as the preferred season for seeding and core aeration of cool-season grass — warm soil, less weed pressure, no summer heat — and fall feeding rides the same physiology (see our fall lawn feeding guide).
When does the fall window close here?
First frost averages around October 12 in the Coeur d’Alene valley (Old Farmer’s Almanac, NOAA 1991–2020 normals). Plan aeration, overseed, and the last feeds to land before then.
How late should I mow in the fall?
Late into the fall — U of I Extension says keep mowing until the grass stops growing, sometimes as late as late November; leaving tall grass over winter invites snow mold.
Do I water my lawn in the fall?
Yes — grass still uses close to an inch of water per week in October (U of I), and a final deep watering just before winterizing your irrigation prevents winter desiccation.
